chinchaga bullets review

The fact that he is always selling out of most everything he produces, should speak volumes!!
I'm sending his 30 cal 176 and 205 grainers out to a mile here in a few weeks. But I'm way past the accuracy node to reach the highest velocity possible and still be able to open the bolt. I have a 308 cal .28 inch 3 shot groups around here in a piece of cardboard.

I looked at this maker at the Historic Arms Society Gun show in Edmonton 2 days ago. The bullets seem to be manufactured ok, but the price and selection was off. Bullets looked like 40 bucks per hundred for most stuff i pay 28 bucks per 100. They had .311 bullets, but not .312.

I'm sure they fire well, and as much as I would like to support a local business, they don't have much that i load, and the price is 25% higher for what i do load.

Thanks for the input, I was there as well. Not alot there i was interested in so i spent a few hours bugging the boys from my unit that were there with the cougar. ( armoured vehicle, not the attractive older kind )

I did notice the bullets were a little more pricey, the question will be do they perform well enough to cost a little more...

Dale's Bullets are very good. Consistent, accurate and effective on game.
I do not mind paying the little extra for a quality offering.
Anyone who gripes about a couple of dollars difference is tighter than a boar's a** in flytime. ;)
You need to shoot them to appreciate them.
I have quite a few that I use, and he makes a bonded bullet that really hangs together. [Try his 190 grain 30 cal]

Prelim tests with the 196gr 308 look good - will try in F-Class competition this year (wanted to try last year - had other issues to resolve first). Pricey ... but what part of the sport is cheap??

I shoot his 120 gr bonded out of my 25-06 and 257 wby mag. Accuracy in the 5/8 inch 3 shots @ 100 yrds from bench. Shot a mulie at 60 yrds with 257 wby so impact velocity near 3200 fps and the bullet weighed 87 gr found in off side skin. great performance in my eyes

I picked some up 205gn ULD 30 cal at the CHAS gun show, will be loading and testing mine asap in my 300wm. They look very well made and the ogive profile compares to 208 amax's, with a much better looking steel tip! If Tigrr got them to a mile at 308 win velocities I have an extremely good feeling about an extra 350 fps. I will be sure to post results of testing.
