It's a bad idea to share your Postal Code - we now know to within 2 or 3 houses where you live.

How so? My entire town has the same Postal Code.

It really depends on where you are. Someplaces a postal code could be a single building. Where most small towns have a single code. It's not something I'd be too worried about. If a guy is going to break into 2 or 3 houses & search them. Well it would just take time.
