Chinese " French Tickler" price

Thought I'd pass this on if anyone was looking for a non inflated price on a Chinese SKS french tickler with a spiked bayo.
Lawrys Shooting supply in Caledonia has them for $599 , They ship , but you have to call in no straight from website purchase.
I've seen other shows at over $100 more so hopefully this might help someone out thats looking for one.
 
I had to look up “French Tickler”, as I’m unfamiliar with the term. Is g00gle correct in surmising the name stems from the Bakelite handguard being “ribbed for her pleasure”, or is there another reason??

Yes it's about the handguard.
 
I bought mine for a bit less than $500 in 2022. So, $599 nowadays is a pretty good price. By the way, the Chinese French Tickler Type 56 carbine is the best SKS one could get these days. Essentially a brand new carbine, very well made, never issued, nicely blued, immaculate bore and the most accurate SKSs I've ever owned (and I owned a few Russian and Chinese SKSs). Mine is 1978 production, stored in cosmoline after that, until 2022. Assuming, that we would enjoy our SKSs for a longer time (hopefully), the price of $599 is worth to pay now.
 
I am glad that I bought my French Tickler last year at $600 tax included. Look brand new with SN# starting at 24.

Unfortunately, I don't shoot it much, my eyes suck with iron sight and I don't want to modify it even with installing Bad Ace Tactical mount. Maybe I should give it some love later
