From my limited understanding:What wuld make these different from any of the Norinco SKS's that are already floating around?
From what is known only the /26\ guns were made on Russian machinery.
/26\ or Chunking Arsenal is where the Russians taught the Chinese to manufacture SKSs. They started with the cross bred Sino-Soviets made mostly out of Russian parts, and the rest is history. It is also the only plant that the serial numbers can be dated from. Some estimates are as high as 60% of Chinese Military production came from there. Also /26\ is the only factory markings encountered in Nam,besides the sanitized versions.
it was out of Frontiers last batch
I suppose that new Chinese on the market are John of Marstar rifles,10000 rifles is too much for him to sell,so he sold a part of them to the dealers, and offer 2 months time to sell them before he will come in the market with his SKS with the lower price, may be 140$ each

You boys are selling the Chinese SKS rifles short. They are tough, combat proven weapons. They are almost identical to the Russian rifles, other than some cosmetic differences. Those are mainly stamps.
The Chinese lavish a lot of care on their equipment. The stuff we normally see is either completely worn out or wrecked. They have milsurp arms from all over the world. They weren't slouches about it either. They were taught by masters how to build the weapons for themselves as well.
If you decide not to buy a Chinese SKS because it offends you sensebilities, that's your business. They don't deserve a bad rap for functionality or accuracy. Remember, these aren't the commercial rifles that we are used to finding.
