I never say that i was "anti china" All i say is that my used russian is better than my chinese for accuracy. My chinese is perfectly reliable but i dont use it and given the low price of the chinese sks on the market now, its not even worth to sell him on the EE. So i keep it but i want to focus to add mores in my russian collection simply because i love russian more, and they are the originals sks.:)


My russian 1949 come in tuesday,i cant wait:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

The Chinese lavish a lot of care on their equipment. The stuff we normally see is either completely worn out or wrecked. They have milsurp arms from all over the world. They weren't slouches about it either. They were taught by masters how to build the weapons for themselves as well.

If you decide not to buy a Chinese SKS because it offends you sensebilities, that's your business. They don't deserve a bad rap for functionality or accuracy. Remember, these aren't the commercial rifles that we are used to finding.

I like my Chinese SKS, tough as snot. I need to get a Russian one, someday, though.

26s finish varys depending on year "but all PLA rifle are of good quality, its just the finish that varys" PLA rifles normally have the 3 chinese symbols on the receiver. Now Norinco made for the Civi market can be below standard on finish and quality.

Are these current milsurps stamped or milled?

Only one Arsenal located in Chongqing, called Jianshe Arsenal, their factory code is 296

actually you both are right , you are closer, yes, the jianshe factory is located in the city of chongqing (formerly know as chunking) and the factory code is 26, they also make SKS factory code 296 and a few others.

So far as I know, Jianshe Factory made type 92 pistol and type 95 rifle. Compare the quality of SKS made by this factory are way better than the comercial SKS.
