Chinese SKS 五六式 7.62x39 /w Blade Bayonet

G4C HAS THEM LISTED AS

Chinese SKS Type 56 Surplus Good Condition W/Blade Bayonet 7.62x39mm 20″ $529.99

So are these ALL MATCHING * NEW/LIKE NEW* as North sylva says or good condition as listed buy the store.
Both Rangeview and Tenda have the description as all matching numbers matching, New/Like New.

It looks like Tenda is using their own pics too.

Stores and distributors should list conditions according to NRA grading standards, not meaningless good for age, excellent for year etc

NRA standards are basically junk, the first 3 grades are practically indistinguishable (Perfect, excellent and very good) and the last 2 are way too large for what 90% of used firearms would likely be good or fair in actually used condition.

It doesn't even work for surplus firearms because most would be graded fair or worse based on the last imports.

True, but, that description was put up in the pre-order, before they saw them. They didn't change the description because they sold out in pre-order.

Tenda has seen them and they say new/like new condition.

I received one in the serial number 8 million range which translates to a 1963 era type 56.

It doesn't look fired, and looks by my guesstimate it was made, put on a storage rack where it accumulated dings or nicks in the stock and then cosmolined. The barrel crown has wear from what looks to be just someone extending/retracting the bayonet, but it doesn't look used, just handled.

Serials were all matching unless the exporter is really good at sanding and restamping. Haven't wiped down all the cosmoline or disassembled it but it looks like a good Type 56 SKS model that isn't beat up surplus.

Bought one today and mine had all numbers matching, only 3 nicks and the bayonet slightly bent. It was also covered in cosmoline that I had to wipe off

Not sure how experienced you are with firearms, so this isn't meant to insult your intelligence, LOL:

Don't just wipe it down. Take it apart and clean the cosmo out of all the nooks and crannies, especially the firing pin.

If you are unsure how, there are many videos on youtube.

No experience with firearms as this is my first gun and I do plan on taking apart the gun this weekend to fully clean

The sample I have examined is mint. No stock repairs. No markings on the muzzle from the bayonet collar. Only two minor dent from storage. It was covered in oil when I saw it.
