Chinese SKS Rifles

//waits for CanAm to have the $99 Norc SKS, so there can be a "wow $99 SKS" thread that is as epic as either the sir/frontier sks thread, or what the $99 m213 thread is getting to be
 
I know propaganda when I see it. There have been hundreds, maybe thousands of Norinco SKS's sold in Canada. How often do you ever read of problems, particularly metalurgical ones? Never mind the many thousands more sold in the states, that are now a sought after gun stateside. I'd say the guy who wrote that book probably also hates toyotas, bratwurst, Enfields, and anything else made in the Yoo Ess Eh.

I'd be all over that if they got Norc SKSs for $99. That's how much they cost in the states don't they?

In May, 1994, however, President Clinton issued an executive order banning the importation of all Chinese-made firearms and ammunition. This had nothing to do with domestic gun-control issues, but was intended as a trade sanction against the Chinese government for human rights abuses. (Clinton at the same time agreed to renew China's "Most Favored Nation" trade status, to the chagrin of human-rights advocates; possibly the Norinco ban was meant to deflect criticism.)

I also heard Norc employees tried to bring in a shipment of full auto rifles into the US under the radar. Don't quote me though.

They are actually much more expensive in the states. Like Norseman said, atleast 250+. I believe they are more expensive than Russians down there.

not the russian , russian start at $350 for a bottom grade.

they too are ban along with the norinco by former president clinton. that is the real reason why we are getting them here cheeeeeep.:dancingbanana:

hmmm - I wonder if one was to Rockwell hardness test bbl etc on the M305/ M14S from Norinco what would be found...?
 
I've fired thousands of round through mine without even one jam so I'm a little skeptical. I'm also semi-lax when it comes to cleaning it properly. What the hell it only cost me 169$
