Chinese SKS TYPE 56 JUST ARRIVED!

CGN/Tenda thread Sept. 2033; "Man, remember when you could basically buy a NEW production SKS for $550? Those were the days" lol

Like many of us, I remember the days when they basically gave you an SKS if you bought enough ammo. That was then/this is now, and while I haven't seen these SKSs first hand...they sure appear to be in nicer condition than allot of those high-mileage Russians I saw back in the day. I remember being reluctant to buy one @ $225, and that doesn't seem that long ago. lol

Those were the days. I also remember buying Chinese 1911s and got free 500 rounds of 45ACP. Still have some.

I’ve handled one in another retailers store. Was the nicest Sks I have ever seen. I’ve owned 20 Sks over the years and handled hundreds, these are the nicest ones I’ve seen. Probably made and then right into storage. Only knock against them was wood finish was a bit discoloured where the crate dividers would of been.

nothing in my LGS yet.

Just curious...do these have factory markings? I have one from a few years back with noting but S/N s.

All the ones I've seen in person so far (10ish) are all factory 26 marked with serial numbers. These are most likely unissued old stock that's being cleared out. All of them had the plastic handguard too. Rifles are noticeably lighter than the Russian ones I've had. Easily the best condition SKS' I've ever seen.

Every time I get rid of an SKS I find myself wanting an SKS. These seem particularly nice. Hope you have enough stock to last a while.
