So I was at the range today and I loaded 5 Military Surplus (S&B) rounds via stripper clip and closed the chamber. Shot 4 rounds and then noticed that the bolt was back and gun was empty. Then on the table I see the 5th round. Loaded that 5th round by it self and it was a dud. One question, how did the gun eject that round if it was a dud?? am I mising something here?

there is a dudd sensor in the chinese SKS , its senses dud and ejects it without chambering and chamber the next good round , an important feature during battle.

ok, just joking . it was a conincident .

did you have press hard to get the last round into the mag ? possibly not enuff room for the last round creating a bit of tension .

Some SKS mags don't hold the shells in very securely. Perhaps the fifth shell "fell" out of the mag. when the forth shell was being ejected. Just an uneducated guess.

Thanks, prob. just fell out or ejected 2 at once or something...shot 20 after that with no probs...
