Chinese SKS Value

Apparently the whole reason they stopped selling them was because the source wanted to up the unit cost to a point that would make them not sell at all. Based off what has happened recently I'm calling BS...again.

All the other retailers that use to carry them have stopped carrying them too, so there might be some truth to their claim, but certainly could have some extra stock in warehouses within the country. When is the last time canadaammo or another importer had them in stock?

The mentioned former site vendor was the importer of them, so ya if they didn't bring them in all other vendors wont have them anymore. I love when they said they wont be around anymore, they let them dry up then "found" a crate in their warehouse. If a firearms vendor "loses" firearms I'm pretty sure some laws have been broken. Its business 101 and a dirty, non-transparent tactic if you ask me. Yes, I bought one of the original ones for 189, but I'm glad said vendor is no longer on this site. Good riddance with the bold writing as well. FML that was annoying.

More annoying was all the jellyfish here on CGN who defended that despicable dealer by crying "Supply and Demand!". It was a nefarious and disingenuous act by that dealer, and they ate it up. Now those drum bangers are all hiding in the shadows with their lips zipped.

I paid $147 for the one i had... traded it for a .22 revolver...... would buy again $300 is not bad considering russsian BBQ paint guns are $250 reg price now.

$199 at Cabelas. Last I looked Weimajack had some nice non-refurbs for $299, maybe those were snapped up already.

Marstar made a living creeping in the shadows and playing games. No surprise that they "found" another crate in the vault that they would release to make a lot more cash.

I didn't realize that the "former site sponsor" was the sole importer .... I stand corrected then. I thought since Canadaammo was a huge importer of alll things Chinese, that their SkS was brought in by themselves, but I was just assuming that. I remember when Canadaammo had an awesome package deal on a ammo and Chinese SKS .... sigh ... oh well. I also passed on a used one for $150, before I realized where the prices were going.

Are these simply being desired because new ones aren't coming into the country or is it because the Russian's we're seeing now are so beat up? It's been a while since I've seen a nice one over the counter anywhere.

I think its a combination of both. There must be tons of them still in china, but the importer believed nobody would pay what the source was asking. I wonder if another importer could contact the source and bring them in. Since I wont be dealing with that importer anymore...
