Chinese Type 56 SKS

I got the Marstar deal last xmass for $149.00 . It came in a nice case with a oil bottle and stripper clip. It is a excellent non issue. I have not seen any for sale lately tho.

Marstar had brought in a boat load of them and they were cheaper than dirt for several years. Nobody can say they didn't have hundreds of opportunities to pick one up.

Until someone brings them in again, EE is your best bet.

Market is saturated right now with all kind of sks. Importers are holding off sale untill the market can handle another influx. Give it couple of years and they will magically reappear at Marstar and a like. If US lift the ban on importation then we will have price increases.
Just my 5 cents.

From what I have read the Chinese offered lots more after the Ukraine problems started, but at double or more the price. The importers told them to forget it. Only time will tell if we see more of these...

The only place you can get one at this point is in Québec
just bought one this week...$200.00 plus shipping...Brand New rifle made in the 60.s

here is the link

Frontier still has them too here: http://frontierfirearms.ca/firearms/sks-rifles/norinco-sks-7-62x39mm-free-shipping.html

But these are stock from before, not new import. They have raised the price significantly though. Selling them for $270. I might be wrong but these would be the last of them. Once these are gone, no more for who knows how long. Unless someone else knows something I don't of course, I don't claim to know all ;)

Hey thanks guys. I just bought one. I was going to find one used but I'm always iffy about buying a gun that is commonly purchased by new shooters that have no idea how to properly clean a gun from the crown and I have no clue how many thousands of rounds they've fired down that barrel. I still have this urge to buy a third SKS though... maybe another Russian next month.

You don't need to clean the SKS from the muzzle, they can be cleaned from the chamber forward like a bolt action...

I have a milled Chinese from Frontier, but it's a mutt, no original stock, mag or bayo.
I'd like a full matching example with the Chinese characters on the receiver.

I realize that and that's how I clean my SKS and SVT-40 with my extra long cleaning rod. However, new shooters buy an SKS, they don't get a cleaning kit and use what the SKS is provided with, and clean it from the muzzle without the crown protector. I've seen it done many many times.

A stamped receiver SKS would actually be better than getting a milled one. Because the stamped receiver SKS was just an experiment and not very many were made.

I see it there now, this was the description:

•All matching Serial Numbers
•Non Refurbished
•Machined Recievers
•Chrome Lined Barrels
•7.62x39mm
•Chinese Military Version

I'll see when it arrives next week. I'm hoping the extra cost was worth it.

Yes, I simply made the statement for the benefit of the SKS newbies reading your comment, not as correcting you, sorry if it came off that way

Ive only shot one Chinese..but several Russian... n i think its true..The Russians look better but the Chinese shoot better.
All to do with a lighter and smoother trigger group.

Buds Chinese last weekend...5 first shots from me using his rifle@ 25 m/82ft, iron sights.. rested on a floppy table.
