its really not a glorified sks its more like the best of every combloc gun in one nice package. This sounds kinda funny i guess but one thing id be super stoked for is the ak like dust cover and recoil spring. Hopefully we will get a few stocks to choose from as well these could have an under folder a side fooder or a wood ak like stock

This. Never been much of a fan of folding stocks. Options are always good.

1) 18.5 barrel with all wood and fixed stock
2) Option 1 with folding stock
3) 20+ barrel with bipod a la RPK style stock.

This gun could have a few styles right off the shelf.
 
I don't know why so many people say that they will take it over VZ58. From my experience with Chinese firearms, I would take anything CZ over anything made in China.

Agreed. I would be hard pressed to buy one over a VZ/CZ - I don't see any benefits. If it takes AK mags maybe, but from the brief reading I did it has proprietary mags. Still suffers from the same problems (no top rail for optics etc).

I would not be shelling out a grand or more for this rifle (unless I'm missing some great benefit).

I thought it was an SKS with different furniture. Not for me. I want an AK. We should just make our public servants, whom we pay to represent us, to change the rules. Oh, do they represent us or rule over us? Confusing to say the least; like an unspoken dirty secret.
 
Seriously love that gun. would really dig having one but too rich for me. At least it probably works right out of the box unlike the VZ but at twice the price ouch. Would love one though.
 
looking at the pics above , it doesnt have much similarity with a SKS , maybe only the gas piston , everything else are different .
