I'm just guessing, but it looks like a 35mm QLZ-87 automatic grenade launcher on support kit tripod. The forward folding legs are the giveaway. Looks like it's fitted to a heavy "support kit" type tripod.

Usually has a drum attached to the feed system about half way up the gun, just below the visible carrying handle.

ah, yeah. Here you go mate.

As with too many cases in history its not what assets your nation has, but whether you have them on site today that matters. I'm far more concerned at the fact that China is projecting force by sea on a credible level.

The world is ruled by those who show up.

Interesting, the Chinese are even copying marpat now! I wonder how well trained they are?

Sorry, but this is Type 07 camouflage, which bears no resemblance with MARPAT or any other "pixel camo":

Wondered why their Marine Crops didn't give-up the blue camo and how effective is that "Desert Camo"......... and by now they should realized that black color did not appear in natural environment very often!!

if anything, it looks like an urban flecktarn.

A friend of mine was attached as an advisor to the South Korean "Police" (actually staffed by ROKA-SOCOM) during the 1988 olympics.

Interesting group. Very ballsy.

But they do seem to love the gym-kata stuff.

Maybe you had to be an adult in the 80s to understand... but it just sucked for hero movie material. I guess this is where they landed...:p

Clobbersauraus, too much webbing to see the holsters.

;) I was kind of hoping that under all that high speed nylon webvests they would be carrying broom handled mausers. :owned:
