Anyone know where a guy can get ahold of some of either of these in Canada? I can get Wilson Combat mags from P&D locally when they have them (which isn't often, since they sell like hotcakes) but I'm wondering where a guy can get ahold of some Chips or Kimbers for his single-stack 1911 in Canada?

Or, if you know of a good (and reasonably priced) source in the USA I'd love to hear your experiences with shipping etc.

Thanks in advance,
-M

I have always bought my CMC Power Mags from Brownells, i have also got my Tripp Research Cobra mags directly from Tripp, both places i have bought online from there website. At one time, Pheonix range and gun shop in Edmonton was carrying the Power Mags, give them a call.

Wolfstrack -

thanks for the link (I'm sure a mod will give you guff for hotlinking directly, but I appreciate the heads-up for sure). I checked it out and they've got great prices and if they have an export license then orders over $100 aren't an issue... So I can buy more than 3-5 mags, which is nice when I'm going to be paying $30ish shipping!

For the guys who've ordered through Brownell's - I notice they won't ship over $100 worth in a single order to Canada; their pricing might be competitive, but factoring in 2 or 3 shipping costs to get the amount I'd like isn't really practical... unless you guys have managed to swing something different?

I'm definitely going to look into the Sugar Free site... they've got the nice Chippies in all sorts of variations, and if I can get 10 at a time then I'm sold!

Unfortunately, the $100 limit still applies... Unless you want to go about getting yourself an import permit for that particular shipment. :(

So I heard from the "Sugar Bob's" guys, and they're good to go as mentioned... I placed an order for 12 mags in total, all Chip McCormick - that oughtta keep 'er fed!

So it's been almost a month since I placed the order with these guys; anyone ever had a problem with shipping taking THIS long?

I'm thinking it's almost time for a nasty e-mail asking where the hell my $250+ worth of product is...

He lists alot of items, but not much are in stock.
You should give em an email, maybe they are still waiting for stock.

Don't forget, the $100 limit still legally applies even if your dealer has chosen to ignore it... Maybe the US feds have your shipment? You might want to give the dealer a call and have them confirm what the hold up is...
