Choate Tele Stock for M305s shorty ?

Looking to get a simple, inexpensive pistol-grip type stock for my Norinco shorty m14/M305s, and thinking of Choate.

Not interested in all the cool rails and hi-tech attachments, just want a simple stock. Perhaps a surplus E2 wood stock would be okay, if available.

I have had several Choate fixed stocks, including for Rem 870 and Win 1300 shot guns, and a Mini 14, and I have always thought Choate made a decent no-nonsense product. I see they make a pistol grip stock with a telescoping butt, and it has been getting mixed reviews on other boards, just wondering if any one here has any experience with them.

I'd consider the ArchAngel plastic stock for an inexpensive pistol grip option.

I'd also consider making one custom.
I have no experience with the Choate.

OP, have a look in the Main Battle Rifles forum, it has far more info and postings on the M305/M14. A search in there on "choate" should generate lots of reading. Don't forget to set the default time limit to 3 years from the standard 2 weeks it starts with.
