Hey all, happy holidays!

A buddy of mine has an 870 and was looking at putting a folding stock on it, and has come across a solid steel "choate" top folder. I was just wondering if anyone has used this platform and what they thought of it. It seems to me it'd hurt!
thanks

Just about all of the top-folders really don't make good stocks. The LOP is often very long and they don't do much for your shoulder or cheek.
Much better off with a short wood or possibly AR style stock.

Cheers,
Grant

When I line up a top folding stock, the "cuff" where it rotates presses right up against my teeth.. Definitely not the stock for me.. haha, unless my dentist is in a bad need of business...

I have one on my M500 and it makes shooting slugs a painful experience. But for making a very short OAL length bush gun it is certainly the ticket.
