What would be your choice if you could import anything?
I'm looking for ease of installation, functional...
I looked at the midwest industries one since it installs so easy but does anyone know if it marks up the barrel nut? since it goes right over top.
It has to have rails at 12 3 6 9
thx
guys

I have a Samson MRFS-CX and I love it!

I have a couple of Samson`s MRFS`s and the are very well made and mounts very solidly, love the one continuous top rail effect you get with them.

I`m sure the Larue and DD have the strongest mounting system using their screw on barrel nut/hardware but it has a gap on the top rail.

With a carbine length barrel, does the free floating fore end produce any noticeable increase in accuracy?

No. But it sure is tacticool. My vote is for Daniel Defense. I've got the 9.0 on a 10.5" barrel with a low profile gas block from Badger Ordnance. It comes with its own barrel nut and the tube has indexing pins which fit into the nut to stop any spinage. The tube is then tightened to the barrel nut with a threaded ring.
