choice one and only one 1911 .45ACP

The quality on Kimbers isn't what it once was. I have both a Dan Wesson CCO and a S&W. Both are really accurate and reliable. As others have said, DW's are pretty good value. But if I were only picking one, I'd go with the one you find most aesthetically pleasing. A gun you love the look of will go to the range more often. Also, as mentioned earlier in the thread, Colts are excellent as well.
 
My wishlist is to get the new springfield Ronin and the sw1911 performance center commander bob tail..

I have the full size s&w 1911 PC which I'd sell or trade for the commander version I have tons of full-size à1911s..


My one and only 1911 is the LES BAER with the 2.5 guarantee. I love it. The accuracy is ridiculously on another level. my dan wesson, s&w pc, rugers, colt competition do not compare. . Mechanically it's flawless. Even cosmetics are top notch. The extra detail of blending parts is a beauty.


If you can. Get a les baer 2.5. The Gun Gods are waiting patiently for Mr bear to join them in Valhalla.
 
If you are looking to spend that kind of money consider one built by Dlask out of BC. All parts are hand fitted unlike factory guns which are assembled from a parts bin. Service is excellent and service after the sale is excellent. I love smith and wesson but the warranty sucks takes a year or two to get the parts to repair out of the states. Ruger was terrible as well. I suspect that they are all equally as bad.

With Dlask they build the pistols. My front sight worked itself lose sent it back to Dlask they fixed it and shipped it back the same Day.

The accuracy is excellent.
