Hi

I have been shooting my new beretta 391 urika and just throwing the trap load through it. but I have noticed that the choke keeps backing out. Anyone else have this problem or a fix, other than checking if the choke is in between clays (empty of course).

Or is it a case of the barrel heating up and causing a difference in expansion between the barrel and SS choke?

Thanks

Firm finger tight with a little choke tube lube, they should stay put.

I'm in the habit of checking in between stations ... have never found it
neccessary to check from shot to shot.

Most likely due to barrel heating and expansion, I have the same issue with my 11-87 with extended skeet choke. I use a little synthetic choke tube grease on it and it keeps it in tight. Just fills the gap a little. With the extended one its easy to check every couple stations anyway.

The choke tube grease ( silver never-sieze works well ) adds strength and allows you to tighten it more firmly.... and then it is just a matter of checking it...

This has always been a problem with Beretta semi-autos and more so with the Optima chokes. I use Briley choke tube grease and it seems to hold them in. I also dumped the little hook choke tube wrench and got a Carlson's screw in choke wrench which seats the tubes in a little firmer.
