OK, one more question and I'll leave you guys alone for a while. I picked-up a choke wrench and FULL choke tube from Bass Pro tonight~the choke wrench worked perfectly! When I took out the factory modified tube, I noticed right away that it was shorter than the one I bought that was labeled "For Most Remington 12 ga. Shotguns" Of course, it's a Grizzly...but thought it might share the same-sized tube.

The one IN the gun measures about 38mm long, or just shy of 1-1/2". The one I'm returning to BPS, 2" long. This Grizzly is my first shotgun with interchangeable choke, so my blunder. Are 1-1/2" long tubes a common length? Once I found this one, I stopped looking at the other options...but I feel reasonably sure the boys at BPS will not know what I'm taking about if I mention the make/model of shotgun. : /

Thanks guys, last question for a while...

I guess the old saying "the only dumb question is the one you don't ask" isn't true in my case. Stopped into Target Sports (w/o the barrel or tube) to see what their choke selection looked like. Pretty lean, but they did have a Mossberg "Accu-choke" that looks about identical to the factory modified tube I pulled out of the Grizzly last night. Is this the tube you guys are using?

Hello....ahem, is this thing on? lol

I would guess that you have Invector style choke tubes though I do not have Grizzly shotgun to be able to tell you for sure. They fit most shotguns other than Remington. See here ht tp://www.colonialarms.com/ct01.html They are what I have installed on all my shotguns and are very common. They measure .812", 32 TPI and are 1.5" long. Do not confuse that with Invector+ tubes.

I have nothing to add to this post, but if you don't mind, I do have a question. How are you liking your Grizzly so far? I'm contemplating buying one when CanAm gets more in and would love to hear some first impressions.

LOL I always wondered why the chokes for my Mossberg 500 fit my Grizzly. Before I bought the Grizzly I figured it would use the Rem-chokes. Worked out well though since now I have four different chokes to use in my Grizzly. I wonder what an extra full turkey choke would be like on a 12.5" barrel?

Wondered the same myself...but, now that I know what choke to use, I think it'll be FULL I start with, then add IC to start my slug-shooting with. (rifled slugs)

Thanks for chiming-in CanAm,

Rob

There are a lot of pretty cool ones out there if you do a google search for animated gif and the name of the firearm you are interested in.

Here are two that show the difference between an AR-15 and an M-16 trigger group.
