chokes or new barrels 870?

I am wondering if it would be less expensive to have my 30" barrel full choke barrel threaded to use different chokes or to just buy one when it comes up on EE?

way cheaper to buy a replacement barrel that's already threaded.. look around and they pop up for 100 bucks if not less... i grabbed mine (30" vented rib theaded for choke) for If i recall it was 70-80 bucks....

Buy a barrel, new they only sell for about $180-$190 and used usually about $90-$120.

Good luck finding an 870 factory choke threaded barrel for $120 or less. The Express barrels are supposed to be made by Mossberg and may or may not use a detent ball or ratchet system for attachment depending on date of manufacture.These will both fit a Wingmaster but may need a little chamber polishing to slick up?Sell your fixed choke barrel then add $100 and buy a threaded choke replacement.Harold
