Choose me next rimfire

Santa brought some Cabela's gift cards but not sure how to spend em. Looking for a new rimfire but can't decide on anything. Budget is ~$350 WITH a scope. Will be used mostly for plinking and targets, maybe a gopher or too. Things I like include stainless steel barrel and receiver, wood or laminate stock, full sized rifle feel, and accuracy. Now I know that's not a realistic list for my budget but would like to get a few of them anyways. Biggest priority would be accuracy. Would like tight groups at 100 yards. So I need some ideas for what type of package to put together. The best idea I've had so far is a Marlin 795 with a Boyd's stock and a Bushnell Banner scope just to give an idea of what I'm looking for. Any caliber, any action, any brand, any model. Feel free to be creative.
 
I think you can't go wrong with any Savage Mark II, Remington 597, Marlin 795 or any Ruger offering.

I own a Ruger 10/22 and really like it. They can be tough to find though.

That Marlin sounds good.

I recently saw the Remington at the range it looks well built. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to fire it so I can't comment on accuracy.

I've been looking at Savage offerings. I am presently considering the FVXP or the FV-SR.

Savage Mark II - FVXP
Bolt action, accutrigger, heavy barrel, synthetic stock with a 4x32mm scope.
Chambered in .22 LR

I would get the flat top if it where me but that will be one of the 2 gun purchases for me this year, the other being a pistol caliber lever action.
 
I don't have anything right now actually. I have had the 597 VTR and the Henry Octagon. I enjoyed them both very much but though I needed the money more than the gun (stupid decision I know). Might be hard to not go with another Henry if they have one but would like to try and try something different.
 
Rumor is a new winchester round will be out in the new year...wait a while and have a look at it. 500 fps faster than anyother rimfire out to date!!!
 
Well i have both the 795 and the XT both are accurate out of the box and will leave plenty for a scope but only the xt bolt action comes stainless i believe 795 is only blued

I have a fv-sr. Awesome shooter. Shoots way better than I can! But I really do not like the stock stock :) Looking for a boyds tacticool or a good cheek riser.
 
I have a mark ii fv sr model in the mail. Should receive it on the 2nd.... I have done an INSANE amount of research on the rifle! Only good things other than the stock... I have 2 sources for a tacticool so it will be getting swapped out shortly after receiving it.

I currently have a new mark ii g model and not a single complaint there... have had 3 different 10/22's and always seem to sell em... to me they are way over rated.

Unless you find that stock in canada or order it form savage you are sol. Boyds cant ship it here anymore as its military technology and not allowed out of the usa.

This cant be entirely true, not that I'm calling u a liar hometown, but I just spoke with a dealer / smith from Manitoba today and he had contacted boyds and they have him the go ahead and assured him everything would be fine. It will cost a pretty penny though.

And I too was under the same impression that hometown was till I found this guy can get em.
 
savage 64 might come with ss barrel then you have plenty for a scope. very accurate gun. but it comes down to preference.
 
Open to suggestions on a .17 as well, may be able to stretch the budget a bit, depending on how the whiskey goes down that day.
