Choose me next rimfire

I just took my FV-SR to the range today and ran through 200 CCI mini mags and 200 Winchester HV. Not a single issue. Very dirty after. Had to sight in a cheap scope but damn is it accurate at 50 - 150 yards.

I've sold so many 10-22s and this Savage is staying. The 10-22 is a different gun and I still enjoy them. FV-SR for now!!!

the only prob i had was bulk ammo out of over 1000 5 missfires, but bulk ammo is stuff that falls on the floor or doesn't pass for regular ammo. and alot of people are saying feed problems , put 9 in the mag till the spring is worked in. but with a cheasp scope 50 yards can't argue with results just wish i had a pic for that day. 5 round group 1/4" at 50

cant go wrong with a savage, I have 3 10/22's and I love them but the wife's MKII BV is a tack driver even at 250+ yards. I know that sounds crazy but your in for a suprise with the savage at long range, and I love the accu-trigger.

I'll also recommend the Savage FV SR, good gun & I topped mine with a 4-12x40AO scope. Works great!

Cheers
Jay

I HIGHLY recommend this rifle to anyone at all... from kids to experienced adult shooters, it has something for everyone.
I made a post on this rifle and you can read all i had to say about this rifle and the first outing, but this thing even with ONE scope ring on a bushnell 1-4x32.... shot way better than i thought. check out my post if u wanna read about it. Its titled "new savage fv-sr, my thoughts..."

Stretch it a bit and get a savage TR. I bought one to shoot silhouette with and I can shoot under 1" @100m with it. Bulk ammo seems to do about 2" @100m but I think I can get blazers that come in boxes of 50 to shoot about 1"(jumble 500 packs shoot like crap). I still need to test it on a day with zero wind to be sure of that as any day I've had it out doing ammo testing it was breezy. Best grouping to date with it was 0.65" @100m with RWS target I think it was.

Anyway the FV-SR looks like essentially the same barrel/action(different finish) with a synthetic stock rather than a laminated target stock. Not sure how much difference it makes but if you test ammunition types you should be able to at least get ragged holes with bulk ammunition at 50m.
