Choosing 4-16 x 50 scope

I am in the market for a 4-16 x50 or thereabouts, scope. I simply can't justify spending more than $500-$600. So in the ballpark are Nikon which seem to be as scarce as hen's teeth, Minox and perhaps others.

Does anyone have experience with and a recommendation for a quality scope in this price range? I would prefer to stay with my 1" rings.

Well, I would get a bushnell 6500 2.5-16.... used are around $500, new I have seen $550 - 800. Its 30mm tho...
Its a super scope for the price, best bang for buck IMHO. Go look thru one and you'll see why.

A site sponsor Mystic Precision sells them for $675.00 new. That looks like a screaming deal for the quality. I too am looking for a longer range hunting scope I can plink with in the off season for 200-300 yards.
