Choosing a shotgun: Anything I forgot?

Okay, I have handled the Condor this week. It reinforces my original recommendation, and also my unstated feelings that the best thing a cheap O/U does is make you realize you made a mistake.

I've had a Condor 12ga and a Baikal 20ga O/U. For the same price, the Baikal was better built. Now shooting a Browning...

Well, I don`t know about your experience, but I had the chance to try a Stoeger Condor 12ga o/u this weekend. A friend of mine bought one and we tried shooting clay pigeons.

Impressions: Wow!

1) Everytime we pressed on the trigger, it went BANG.
2) I personally like the slim feeling of the fore-handguard, very comfy vs a SxS (but to be fair, only held a SxS in the store, didn`t shoot it).
3) Recoil pad was pretty good
4) Wood looked fairly good
5) Locked up tight (a tad too tight, but that should resolve itself after a bit of use).

We fired off something like 150-160 shots in total and everything went well. No need to bang it on a tree or anything like that.

If anyone in the quebec area has an uplander, I`d really love to compare both models!
