Hello everyone.

I am looking at the above two firearms. I know that there are better over/unders but these are the two that I would like opinions on.

Could only people who own these firearms or, have used them or, have previously owned them tell me about their experience with them.

Right now I have a Savage on hold until tomorrow. I have not been able to find the CZ but if it was a overwhelming reply for the CZ maybe I would wait until I could find one. Also if guys know where to find them both with the best price would be good advice too.

I like them because of their weight and barrel length with a 26'. If I am going to go up in price and weight I would just stick with the semi's I already own.

Thanks to everyone taking the time to answer.

yes CZ for me over you other choices for sure ,,,I would try and handle as many as you can before you lay out the hard earned scratch ,,,,Dutch

Cz for sure I love my canvasback! If you don't care about the auto ejectors, the canvasback is really good value.

I bought mine from Wolverine Supplies almost 2 years ago.

I grouse hunt over my lab with a CZ Upland Ultralight. It is light, and I hardly notice the weight when tromping over the hills in search for grouse. It does kick though, due to the weight, but when you have a grouse in flight, its something that is hardly noticable, but quite noticable on the range when doing a little practice. I love my ultralight, its a great upland shotgun.

Having owned a CZ Wingshooter and a couple of Redheads and in both 12 and 20 gauges then I would take the CZ out of those 2 options you have listed. But don't be afraid to also look at the Yildiz O/U's they seem to be on par or maybe even a touch better than the CZ's in my humble opinion and would be about the same weight as the CZ Ultralight. I have a Yildiz in 20ga. and my stepson has one in 12 and they both are impressive for a low cost shotgun. I would take either of these brands well before the Stevens.

I would take the CZ. I had a couple of them and they were very good guns for the money. I looked at a Stevens at the same time I bought the first CZ. The clerk handed it to me, about 45 seconds is all it took for me to hand it back to him. But that was a goldwing model so I can't speak to the 555.

I don't want to be the "third option" guy that comes in telling you to eat chicken when you ask "pork or beef".... but, if you are interested in the CZ (a wise choice imop), you may want to look at the Yildiz SP ME as well.... They are actually the same "base" gun made in the same factory.... And I found the Yildiz version to be a bit more refined for my liking....

I own both,a cz ringneck and the stevens savage 555 and can tell you the 555 is just as good if not better then the cz. The 555 has a much nicer trigger then the cz, it's light and crisp. Safety button is very smooth as well, and over all there lighter then most of the cz offerings. I don't think you can go wrong with eather one but for the people who haven't handled the new stevens 555 you should. You might be pleasantly suprised, I was and a 28ga version followed me home. Very light weight, scaled to gauge frame size, excellent fit and finish, light crisp trigger, oil finished turkish walnut with some figure to it. A real nice gun for the money.
