Chopperhead Get's his Yogi

Congrats on your first but not last big game animal.

Hope to see more pics and a full run down on the events as well

wow sorry guys. I had to work, play in a bseball tournament and then whent to a party friday and then I had to work this morning. so I didnt get a chance to get online.

anyway ya i'll give ya a run down of what happened. We whent east of PG out the North Fraser. anyway so we seen a decent bear on the way in just sitting on his ass chomping away, we pulled up right beside him and took a couple pics. we werent quite sure if we could shoot in that area yet so we let em go. No we finally get into hunting area and we see a glimpse of one running into the bush, so we keep drving alittle ways up the road and Bam a nice blackie just sitting on the side of the road. so Colin glasses him for a little bit and we get out and start stalking him. he kept walking away from us and the wind was blowing directly toward him so that wasnt any good. then it started raining a bit so we figure that'll help but it only lasts a few minutes. anyway so we stalk him for probably a good 45min to an hour just being eaten alive by swarms of mosquitos. we finally get close enough but he's on the other side of a small hill. so we cant see him. we creep over to the other side of the road and he looks up so we freeze in the middle of the road he siits there stareing at us for a few seconds then bolts. we whent and look around a bit more but couldnt find em. so we go back to the truck and continue on. little waze down the road Colin spots another one and we stop and glass em for abit and then we start to stalk this one again. we werent sure if he was still there or not because we couldnt see em because the plants are to high and thick. so we kreep closer and closer and the bear stands up and moves to the edge of the road alittle just so I could see him. we croutch down and Colin asks me if I can make the shot. I say ya so I take aim and BAM he drops down right were he stood. he was down for about 10 seconds and then he got back up again and started for the bush. Colin took a second shot at him but missed. the bear only whent about 10 feet though.
so I ran back and got his truck, then we took those pics and started cleaning it..... well Colin cleaned it, I didnt. but he showed me how. we goter er all done up and on the roof and that was that. now about 1 minute down the road we see a NICE black bear about 3 times the size of the one I shot. Colin was trying to convince himself to get out and go shoot it for himself lol but he didnt. anyway I had an awesome time. we saw a good 8-10 bears. it was lots of fun, and I learned alot.

and yes there are more pics but Colin is making a CD for me with them so when i get that I'll post some others.

Thanks again Colin
I had a great time.
