Chris Costa Action Figure

I will win the fan boy contest!

When my Nighthawk Costa 1911 gets here.......

Yep, I ordered one...

A guy is good at what he does, that guy makes An assload of money.......good on him. Haters gonna hate

I guess then you can put him next to your BillGates doll then? Cause that guy REALLY makes an assload of money. :p

To each their own.

Ever since I had to bury my Steve Jobs doll I have been looking for a companion for my Bill Gates doll......finally, Bill will be lonely no more!
And I meant I ordered a Nighthawk Costa 1911, not the doll.
:)

Ive met more then a few men and women who collect figures and various scale action figures, who cares? Personally cool on ya, but get them in poses with your gun and articles, cooler yet. :)

When I read Misanthropist's posts, I can't help but feel there is some jealousy there.

One way or another I don't care. Got enough of my own problems to worry about others.

Jealousy of who? Chris Costa? I would love his job but I don't have the background to get it by any stretch of the imagination.

Jealousy of guys who want to buy collectible dolls? No, that's comic book guy stuff.

Jealousy of the idea of having fans that would buy a doll of me? No, I don't really have any desire to sell dudes a doll of myself.

It's not jealousy. I'm thrilled for that guy that he's done well for himself and anyone who knows me will tell you that although I don't agree with everything he teaches, I will only say that WITH THE DISCLAIMER that I don't feel sufficiently experienced to mount any sort of serious critique of his approach. So while some things seem wrong to me, I'm quite willing to defer to his experience, which is vastly greater than mine. I'm not jealous of that guy at all. He's a great shooter and a good business man.

I'll rip on guys who would buy a doll of him exactly the same way I'd rip on a guy who bought a pink Miata. Sure, you could make the argument that it's a fun, sporty car to drive, and by getting someone else's custom paint job in an unusual colour scheme you saved a lot of money.

But now you're driving a pink Miata.

There are some things that, IMO, a self-respecting guy has no business doing, and buying dolls is right up there. Maybe I'm old-fashioned in that regard, but I don't care. The hero worship is kind of sad, the buying dolls part is really sad, and the mom's-basement glass display cases of collectible, original-packaged comic book guy figurines is clinically depressing.

as above....bang on

You don't play with them.........They are not toys........Most 1/6th scale stuff is made of historical figures(Gen Patton) etc etc A lot of you guys are pretty thick and ridiculously ignorant...It's not really a big deal...
Here check out what these guys do with them, I think it's pretty neat...

http://www.vonabt.co.uk/gallery.htm

If you don't like it don't buy them...but it's far from being ### or weird.....Some people have them in Civil War,Napoleonic etc etc...

Where is the one where Costa is pinned down by the whole German Army and Chuck Norris is rescuing him shirtless?

In truth they are expensive, but when you see the detail that goes into them and really how delicate they are there not that expensive for what they are...Hey if you wait 5 years or so you might find the odd one on Ebay for a lot cheaper or more expensive... I buy them for historical reasons and Kit ideas as well, I have done some work in Hollywood and they are great reference material sometimes for costume design... Literally the guys in Asia that mostly make them rip pictures and must get some pretty good intel on what certain Sf units wear at times because they are really accurate.

Misanthropist for the win.

really? how do you see that as a "win"? he/she (to this day I still have no idea), seems really boring and stuck up. Who gives a sht anyway what anyone thinks. There are millions of a$$holes that think we are strange and psychotic for owning firearms, so who gives a damn about people liking to buy dolls?

Go on a "doll" forum and you'd likely get ripped for talking guns...come on a gun forum and talk about collecting dolls, well you've got to expect some eye-rolling. I could care less if people collect unicorn farts but I have to admit, discussing doll collecting (regardless of how detailed, delicate, or expensive they are) on a gun forum seems weird.

See there is the whole problem right there. You're too busy judging other people for their lifestyle choices. While collecting dolls isn't my cup of tea, power to any body that puts that much time and effort into a display piece. The only people that are weird are those who are quick to judge others based only off their legal, legitimate and enjoyable(to them) pass time.

While this thread should have been started in the "Off Topic" section, you still decided to join in on the discussion no matter what your position, same goes for missy. If people think it's so weird, why even waste time posting here? common, I have to be making some sense here.

What is going on here is a troll, multiple threats at once, yes I know all to well ;) have a great evening guys!

They are not Dolls per say they are 1/6th miniatures.....You ever walk into a surplus store and see a manikin dressed in military uniform or go to a museum for that manner..

If you went on any forum that these 1/6ths scale figs are you would see everything is predominately gun related...And many of the users shoot real guns too...so no you would not get ripped for collecting collecting guns, to be out right with it between you and Miss are individuals who are talking out of your asses....a simple Google search would show that.. Its a Hobby.....A doll is a model of a human being, usually a toy. These are not toys.......Its the same as putting together models and 1/32 1/16th scale or whatever, I don't see anything weird accept the stupidity you guys keep pumping out.
