Christensen Arms = lemon, stay away!

Very Sorry to hear of your troubles Mike ...

Most of what I have is on the upper end (SANS, M4's, SIG's) - and there is always that tiny bit of apprehension until your new toy brings you joy.

At least Wanstall's is on the same page as the purchaser when it comes to expectations of the firearms they've sold you.

The boy's will sort it out for you - I'm quite sure ....

take it back to wanstalls and get a full refund. If they resist call CA and tell them you will settle for nothing less than money back. If they Don't respond post on A R fifteen dot com and M4 carbine .net about the crappy rifle that came from CA. The US is a much bigger market than we are and they can't afford the crap publicity with all the competition in the US market. Squeeky wheel gets the grease.

For warranty work the importer (wanstall's) would have to accept the rifle back from you and package and send it off to CA along with the original import paper work. This is the minimum they should do for you.

Hate to say it because it is like salt on a wound. If you bought a Daniel Defense from wolverine, they would take it back from you and either: fix it, send you a new one that worked, or send it back to the manufacturer for you (maybe you pay shipping?)

Same thing if you bought a KAC, the importer would have to send it back to the manufacturer for you because the importer has all of the paper work required to send it back.

hopefully wanstall's does what is right.

I don't know, we'll see when it comes back from their smith. But you guys are right, a brand new gun at that price tag should not be going to a smith for fixes/repairs/tweeks for it to work. The bolt release should not fly off broken snapped in two into space when you fire it.Like whats next? will it blow up in my face? I just don't trust this thing anymore, and trust in a firearm is of the utmost importance.

I'll call Gary on tuesday and talk to him on the phone one on one, I didnt want to make a scene in his shop yesterday in front of all his customers. I'm not very happy about the whole thing at all

Evert company has lemons, but for a 3000$+ rifle shouldn't sell a rifle that is known to have multiple issue's!

If you can ever get back your money, you should look into a daniel defence. They are flawless, light and mil spec. You will have extra cash for extra toy.

Hey Mike. Post a youtube video about it. You will get a larger audience ie, Americans. Nothing shames a business to act than on-line public attention. Good luck man.

The tested and guaranteed sub MOA accuracy, the bull barrel, the weight and the availability.

I did my homework before as well, checked all the reviews, people were raving that they are just as good maybe better than KAC or Noveske.

Well golly I sure was duped out of 3 grand + tax like a dumb blonde.

I'm gonna save up for a couple of months and get a KAC or Noveske.

These people you mention.

Any of them respected industry professionals?

I haven't heard a single professional instructor from any major schools rave about the jp enterprise or ca guns.

Well the gun is at wanstalls now on its way to their smith, so too late for that.
But if it's still facked after that I'll do a vid, it'll be time for the viet cong tactics.

Mike, that flat out sucks. All my experience with the CA 223 has been absolutely awesome. You asked on the boards before buying and I said you wouldn't be disappointed. sorry to steer you wrong.

Hijacking this thread but i'm wondering how this situation ended?

I'm buying a CA-15 right now and i really, really don't want this to happen to me

It's not ended, I brought it to wanstalls in April 26th, they said they would give it to their smith, who then took a look at it and ordered some parts. Still waiting...

all I can suggest is not to buy it... It's been at the gunsmith for 5 weeks now. Don't do it man, just don't do it. Really don't do it, take if from me, I'm some poor loser idiot moron who dished out 3600 bucks send I've got nothing.

I've only fired 2 Christensen rifles, both were bolt guns. The first one in 22-250 and one in 375 H&H. The 22-250 was accurate but the shells would not feed at all, really awkward single shot. The 375 H&H had a different magazine, it was a 3 round single stack, it would feed the first two cartridges and on the third it would push it 1/2" then skip over it. I know the owner sent the H&H back to the store he bought it from and they fixed it but for the price I would never buy their product.

i have used a few in 223, worked flawlessly and as accurate as any bolt gun I have shoot. 1/4 moa at 100 yards, which is why I 'was' fond of them After hearing Mikes story, the few good are not worth the chance of a bad. I realize 223 wylde is different, however its too much of a risk. Heck at least with an atrs rifle you have the maker fixing it.

I'd rather get kicked in the nuts by Cristiano Ronaldo every single day for the next 2 years than buy another Christensen Arms product.

My tribute to fifa...
