Hey all, just wanting to hear from those who own or have owned either of these rifles. This is going to be my all around/go to rifle for hunting and long range shooting. Until my other precision rig is completed. Most likely will get it in 6.5 cm.

I absolutely love the carbon fiber barrels but I like the stock a bit better on the Mesa LR with the adjustable cheek piece and better grip angle. I know there's a price difference which is not the issue.

So is it worth the extra cash for the carbon fiber barrel and overall lighter hunting style rifle or go with the Mesa with the adjustable stock and better grip angle and stainless medium Palma barrel?

Thanks in advance for all your input!

The mesa long range is too heavy. Get the Ridgeline. My friend has one in 6.5 with Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44 with ballistic turret. He made two effortless shots on two black bears with it. Awesome hunting rig and nails out 1.5
25 - 1.50 inch groups at 300. If it was against the standard mesa, that would be a harder choice but the ridgeline still feels lighter than the standard mesa.

The Ridgeline Classic is a more target rifle stock configuration than the standard Ridgeline. Or you can get there new Modern Percision Rifle that looks like a Ruger RPR but with the weight of a Tikka hunting rifle.

The weight isn't a huge deal breaker for me. The biggest issue I guess is since I live in Manitoba there's no dealer here as far as I know so I have no way of getting my hands on them to compare and see how they feel.

Appreciate your input I might be leaning more towards the Ridgeline.

I'm also looking at a Ridgeline. Seems like a bargain compared to something like a Fierce Carbon Edge.

hey guys i recently got a ridgeline in 7mm from corlanes and its an amazing gun for the price!
i have a 5-20 huskemaw on it and just the got the turret built for my load, at 200 yards with eld-x im getting 3 shot groups touching each other and at 750 yards there no more then 3-5 inches from each other, i switched out the radial brake on it for there slayer side baffle and can tell a huge difference, everything about that gun is worth it even the new style limbsaver recoil pad it comes with, also it has a trigger tech trigger ( made in canada) that is adjustable and i have set mine to 1.5lb

any questions feel free to msg me

I have a ridgeline in 6.5 CM and absolutely love it. Funny enough I have been looking at the mesa long range in 7mm because I love the ridgeline and want a "big" banger. I have no problem recommending Christensen Arms of any kind. Ive shot the best I ever have with that creedmoor, 1" groups at 300 yards is a standard day at the range.

I’m running a 6.5 Creedmoor Ridgeline with a Swarovski z5 3.5-18 BT. I’m no excellent shot, but I was easily shooting .75moa with Barnes LRX factory loads with very little practice. By all accounts I couldn’t be happier.

Awesome to hear! Definitely keeping these ones in mind for now! Appreciate the feedback. Keep it coming.

It would also be nice to be able to handle these rifles prior to purchasing but unfortunately as far as I know no one in Manitoba a sells them. Unless I'm purchasing a custom rifle I would definitely like to be able to handle it too see how it fits. Also looking at the fierce offerings as well.

I picked the 6.5 PRC special edition ridgeline from Corlanes and so far so good. Just got it broken in and now I’m preparing a load for it. Shooting just 1/2” MOA with factory ELDX. Sweet. Go Ridgeline.

I bought the same rifle from Corlanes but mine is 6.5 CM - Im getting the same results 1/2" and under 143 ELDX & Re26 reloads - Nice rifle.

Prophet River sent me one to inspect in Toronto prior to ordering me my Christensen in .26 Nosler. Maybe call them and ask them.

I have it topped with a Swarovski Z5 3.5-18 and a custom turret built for my factory 142 grain nosler LR load and 8500ft elevation. I have killed 3 big game animals in the last 11 months with it....2 Mid Asian Ibex in Kyrgyzstan (120 yards and 644 yards laser verified with leica rangefinder) and also a Dagestan Tur in Azerbaijan at 496 yards (laser verified).

3 shots.

Those Christensen rifles are the best bang for your buck in the market in my opinion. You just buy it, put a good scope on it with a turret built for your load and it works. They are the Corvettes of nice rifles- they aren't Ferraris but they will run with them all day long.

I like things that you pay for and they work. I like them even better when they are not insanely expensive. I appreciate fine things though so if you want to go insane and spend crazy money on a rifle, I am all for it.

My good friends Gunwerks 7mm is a sick rifle, don't get me wrong, but its got nothing on mine when it comes to killing big game animals in bad conditions at long range. And it is more than twice as expensive. you could buy two Christensen's or a Christensen and a gorgeous shotgun or a Christensen and an (used) ATV for the same money!

or you could take the savings and go on a hunt with your christensen. I wouldn't hesitate to take mine anywhere in the world.

Love my Christensen’s like said above there are no Ferrari’s but you honestly can’t beat them for the buck , I would personally choose the ridgeline over the Mesa LR just for the weight difference.
