Update:
Scope drums were seized as expected, so i sent it off to a no.32 specialist for repair.
He has since fixed the issues with the drums and also found the inside to have some corrosion starting but only on one side. He suspects the rifle was on its side in storage and what moisture was able to get inside, settled on the one side only.
He able to completly remove any signs of the green corrosion and has returned it to as new condition!
Once its back i may just have to shoot it : )
