Don't need to wait. Don't limit your LTATT by putting the serial# on the app. All ranges (ie POCO) should provide the form with the pertinent info entered to allow transporting any restricted with reg. paper any time of day from/to range, gunsmith and US border.

Also, when is the earliest I can phone/fax my BC CFO to obtain LTATT? Once the firearm is shipped in transit or after picking it up from post office?

You can get a ltatt before any firearms are registered to you. Just phone the bc CFO and tell them you want a ltatt. Fax in proof of range membership and you'll have it in the mail in a week. Easy peasy

Same thing with registering the restricted. Bc CFO will not approve registration without prof of range membership so get that proof sent in ASAP. It takes them a couple days once they get proof.

I fax a photo copy of my range membership every year when I renew it to the CFO and ask them to put it on my file, then I don't need to screw around when purchasing restricted throughout the year.

Thanks for the replies.

Called BC CFO yesterday, and quoted him the transfer Ref #. He said they also need the proof of range membership. Faxed in along with the LTATT form, waiting patiently for Santa now!
