Chrome LE N4 Mk1 - Parade Rifle?

.
If the Canadian Army can have Gold Plated horns on a Billy Goat, there is absolutely no reason why there should not be Chrome Plate on a Lee-Enfield!

That's not fair...you know about those guys.

f:P: I saw this and pretty sure I puked in my mouth when i saw it... To each their own though... If you're in to chrome it's all good. I just don't like seeing hostorical rifle fiddled with.

Sarcasm is kinda hard to convey in text...I understand why you're confused...

gar·ish/ˈgariSH/

Adjective: obtrusively bright and showy; lurid; excessively or disturbingly vivid; offensively or distressingly bright

Synonyms: gaudy - showy - loud - glaring - flashy

MY Canada does not include such a rifle to be used in parades, although many Central American and Middle Eastern Dictatorships would.

Can corporal actually see were he's going? Buffdog your Regiment?

.
No, not my Regiment but I sure as heck would not want to be going up against them.

The Royal 22nd. Regiment - The "Van Doos."

The Goat's name is Batisse, (mispronounced as Baptiste by the unfamiliar people.) I think this is the 7th. Mascot with that name since the original one. When the Canadian Government, in an economy frenzy, did away with the Van Doos Band that was used in the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Quebec, it was feared that Batisse was next, so the costs of keeping and maintaining him "on strength" were donated by the Members of the Regiment.

Don't know if the Tradition is still in effect, but new recruits to the Regiment had to kiss Batisse as part of their initiation into the Van Doos.

I just had a thought here! Could this "Van Doo Initiation" be the origin of the awarding of the GUNNUTZ GOAT to Newbies after they make a certain number of Posts?

For all the Humped Rifles and Pistols out there in Bubba Land:

This from a guy, who in another thread, was recommending someone 'bubba' their milsurp pistol with a non-historical longer barrel...

Did you even take the time to source and to get a quote on a new made barrel?

I know enough people with Machine Shops with CNC and Broaching equipment.

Dakk, a longer barrel is a better solution than welding up, dewatting and castrating a gun anyday......The Paper Weight Forum.

The guys who don't have 12.6 do it (put in longer barrels) with P08's, PPK, etc...Do a search for Nab's P08 Luger. Excellent solution and the only solution if they want to use it, take it apart, clean it, shoot it as opposed to nothing (look at it, fondle it?) due to Dewat Destruction from the welding....that's beyond Bubba.

In case you are unaware Dakk, Pistol barrels can unscrew (Luger) or just be removed (Colt 45 1911) when disassembled. It's not like you are destroying, welding or modifying the receiver of the gun to put in a new barrel.

Marstar was even selling Barrels for Lugers 6" and up to 18", 20" + IIRC about 10 years ago, but they sold out fast, all for those without 12.6 or worn out barrel replacements.

Now you know a tad more than what you didn't know about 12.6 Dakk.

The Option is there.

Besides Dakk, your Chrome Enfield should be in the Bubba Forum or Pimp Shined Forum....not Milsurp. :D

Pretty strange that in a recent poll you voted in favor of learning about milsurps even if they were dewats. So you hate bubbas, but in some cases you encourage people to do it. You hate dewats, but in some cases its okay. Make up your mind already.

1) It's not mine. I suggest you read before you post.

2) It's a sporterized milsurp, and my friend may have been interested in restoring it if i were military chromed. So contrary to your suggetion, my enquiry belongs in this section of forum. But now he knows it isn't a military chrome job.

My Touch screen was out of calibration and it took the wrong choice which cannot be edited. I guess you're wrong again.

Your Chrome Bubba is the Best Bas-TURD-ization we've seen! Anymore to post!

I know someone with a 1755 Tower Musket. It saw service against the Fenian Raids. It's currently chromed and turned into a floor lamp (the horror... the horror...)

If I can ever liberate it from him, I'm going to reverse as much damage as I can (un-chrome?), and even it I can't get it firing again (light wire goes down the barrel... must come out somewhere... the horror...), at least I can put it on the wall.

So, i got this rifle from my Dad, and he has no history on it, I asked Dakk to help me out, no one I know or my father knows ever modified the chromy, thanks for clearing every thing up. Still have no idea what it is!! (other than Shiny). at least it is a conversation peice. I gotta say Bubb has some MAD skill in the chrome department!!
