Chrome lined barrel???

Just checking....

I thought I heard somewhere that if a SKS has a chrome lined barrel that it is considered "restricted".

Is this right, or am I out to lunch???

Pre-1951 have non chrome bore except if the barrel was replaced during a refurb. Chrome make barrel more corrosion and wear resistant but can be a little bit less accurate(its what somes peoples say).

Who ever told you this did he happen to look like this???

There are such a thing as restricted SkS's but it is because of the barrel length is less than 18.5 inches.

From Westrifle's site:

The CZ858-2 come standard with a fixed stock and new production 482mm (aprox 19 inches) non-chrome lined barrel which makes her non-restricted.

You might have read that kind of sentence...

All Yugo SKS rifles have NON chrome lined bores.
