well some one had to do it LOL. I was board and it was rainning AGAIN, so I headed out to the shop with the trusty sks and gave it a new look. I have done this with other hand guns, shot guns and rifles.

sanded it, and used the RED, BLUE, and White stone, then used Wenol jewllers polish. Then buffed.

As the SKS is a semi-auto center fire rifle, the classification falls under barrel length, not overal length. As long as the barrel is 18.5 inches or longer it will stay non-restricted, regardless of what stock it has.

not that it is possible to make the sks restricted with just a stock change because the barrel and receiver are already above the min OAL

I'm just glad I didn't need a prohib license for my manhood, that 4.25 inch OAL limit was a killer. I'm glad I (barely) made the restricted class, so make a line ladies, I'm here all night

the finish seems to hold up great. Did my old cooey shot gun 5 years ago, still looks good. And yes the gun is still non restricted with the folder.
