Chrome slide Glock

I've seen some really nice Glocks with chrome slides on Glocktalk and i'd like to get it done . I like the satin hard chrome . Anyplace in Canada to get it done ? Anyone hear of any issues with chipping or cracking ?

I've seen people getting Dura coat on the slide to give it that look. I've never seen sombody actually getting it chromed.

Lucky for you I just spoke with a gentleman who had a chrome'd Glock at the range. I asked him where he got it done. He told me "Smoking Gun FX" in BC.

Please post update as I'd like to know rough cost and turn around time for such a project (just curious)

I was thinking of getting my Steyr's slide hard chrommed...anyone knows how much it costs?

btw I'm guesing ARMco should be able to do it...

That was nickel plated, unless I'm much mistaken.

It should slightly, but not a great deal.....chroming both upper and lower(which of course with a Glock is impossible) will tighten things up even more.....

I could understand if you oated it in something that would give you more grip.
