'Chromed' ENfield

Pros and cons:

Pro: easy to pick your rifle out of the rack at the milsurp shoot
Con: screams "pick me, pick me" to the guy on the other side of the wire

Pro: magazine doubles as a shaving mirror
Con: The glare off the sights must be something fierce

Question: Does this Enfield require that it be fed only nickel-plated brass?

It's not for me, but as a conversation starter in the collection it knows no peer, and might be worth it just for the shock value.

I remember, but couldnt find the post, granted I didnt look too hard, a while back that someone was asking about a chromed enfield.

So happens that Gobles, in London, had one up until recently:

If that isnt the damndest thing. What would it have been for?

My chrome on the action of my Chromed #4 is worn and dull in places. Yet the barrel under the wood looks like the shinny bumper of a 58 Vet!
How can one bring back the shinny finish of a dulled chromed rifle?
