Chronograph input-Magnetospeed

Anyone owns and used any of these? Like to know how long you have had it and what is your experience on it.

i have had one for over a year now and it is very accurate for muzzle velocity. on lighter barrels it has effected poi and group sizes so i would find a load first then shoot for muzzle velocity which is more time consuming and expensive. on my heavier contour barrels i have had good luck with it not effecting groups i sometimes get a slight but consistent poi shift but it is consistent group to group. My next one will be a labradar if i can sell my magnetospeed it has served me good for accurate muzzle velocities just looking to cut some time down on the lighter contour barrels.

Ya I got magneto ..I really like it I used it on from my 220 swift to the big ones .....I don’t see any poi shift at all ...I like a lot and recommend one .....
I would of went with lab radar but it only goes to 3800 or 3900 fps .....went I was doing load data/development for my .220 swift I was in the range of 4400 fps so that’s why I went with magneto

I’ve had one since they first came out. Works awesome. I’ve never seen a POI shift on anything I’ve used it on either.

I’m getting one for the same reasons listed above. I’m not overly concerned about poi shift.

I've had one for a year or so. I use it mostly on my black powder match rifles, and on my .308. It doesn't affect the POI for my very heavy barreled rifles, but on my varmint profile .308 it will change POI by nearly a minute at 300 yards. It doesn't seem to affect group size as far as I can see.

To me the biggest thing is that I can use it in all kinds of weather. It's also much more reliable than my Chrony ever was.

well i just ordered one (the sporter model) going to use it for my 204Ruger - once i have a good load that gets me close to 3,800 fps am going to order the custom dial for my Leupold CDS. Coyotes you have been warned

I just received my MagnetoSpeed Sporter yesterday and I am looking forward to trying it with my new 270 Win and 30-06 Springfield hand loads. It is very quick and convenient to setup ... way quicker than my Beta Chrony on a tripod! lol

I have an old one. Picked it up for cheap. Seems to work well. POI shift on my kimber pencil barrel. Not on heavier ones though. Would love a labradar one day...but the magneto does the job for me
