Chronograph opinions.

Not trying to hijack the thread but does anyone have experience with the Caldwell chrono? I’m just asking because I have a gift card to Cabela’s and that seems to be the only chrono’s they sell.

I don't have experience with it personally, but there's one on the EE for $50 that the owner is selling because he says he's fed up with error messages unless it's in full shade. That was the gist of most reviews I read when I was shopping for a chronograph earlier this year, that they were fussy about light conditions.
Cabela's sold the Chrony up til early summer, then switched to the Caldwell. X Reload has some good prices on Chrony products, I bought my ProChrono through Amazon.ca.

That was my one I sold. They work but are very fussy with lighting. I did get 2 Leupold Ballistic caps made with the data and they were bang on but it was a frustrating process lol. For the casual shooter I really don't see a need to spend $800 plus on a chronograph.....A buddy has a Pro Chrono and it works really good and it was $150. But hey if your rich and like spending on fancy doo dads the Labradar sounds good if you get one that functions 100% Personally I think MagnetoSpeeds are the way to go.

Cheers!!
