Chronograph

I also have the base model Chrony and it works just fine. I can't recommend any place in BC to buy one, but if you can't find one, they are available through most of the mail order stores in Canada.

I got the Beta Master. What a doubt eliminator.

Thought about the printer option but realized the chrony should have a finite use once I get my loads perfected.

+ 1 on Beta Master Chrony, the remote monitor comes really handy when reading after every shot. Plus, its Canadian too....:)

+2 on Beta Master.
One note of caution - don't clamp the remote moniter on the bench at a 45 degree angle behind a 50BMG muzzlebrake -blew the dam face off. :(

CED Millennium , works great and downlaods to a laptop. Does stats etc.

Ditto. Lot's of people love their Shooting Chrony's, but I had two DOA's in a row coupled with rude customer service, so I bought a CED. Works great outdoors, and has a battery-powered IR option for indoors.

Is that the one you had out to the range one night? It seemed like a good unit. What sort of price are we looking at and who distributes them?

Yes. It works better with natural light, but fine with the (optional extra ) IR / battery setup.

Base unit is reasonably priced.

Chrony is the best bang for your buck.I bought mine over 20 years ago when they first came out,got it from Lovetts.Still works just as good as when it was new.Even has a couple of bullet nicks on the top but doesn't seem to bother it.

From memory - so no promises -
750 A-max - about 2490 (light)
646 AP - about 2600

The Chrony lines are allright

but one of the better is the Oehler. They are more money and there is the ability to put the screens further appart which is supposed to aid in more accurate readings. They have a reputation.

I think if Chrony made a model along the same lines where the screens could be put further apart it may be a better product.

The disadvantage to the Oehlers is they take longer to set up versus the compact, flip open Chrony's.
