Took the little Churchill out today, shot a groups with 2 3/4 Brenneke Classic slugs, I just took a picture of the one group, the other 2 groups are the same. A good 3 shot group at 25 yrds. The 3" black magic slugs are a bit much in the little shotgun, but are good for the 18.5" Rem 870. I think this little gun has promise, it's alot lighter than the Rem 870 with a 18.5 barrel, I will be packing it a lot more.

Here is a few more slug selections I used in the little Churchill. I was shooting 25 yards and the target results are near the same as my previous pics. The pics of the targets didn't turn out good enough to post. The 3" Rotweil 600 gr Brenneke's are a bit much for my shoulder out of that short barrel. The 2 3/4 ones either Royals or Brenneke brand are fairly accurate and are not to bad in recoil, but the Rio brand Brenneke are more accurate so I will use them.
Either of these 2 will be good for what I intend to use the gun for. Any one else have similar experiences with the Churchill shotgun ?

You'll never notice the recoil if you ever need the gun in the bush... :ar15:

And, it seems to put the slugs where you need 'em! Good Job!

Cheers

Nice bluegrizz. To me the most important thing is that its hitting pretty much where you're aiming it. You'd be surprised how many builds shoot way out to lunch and require some sights to help compensate. I'd trust that setup out in the middle of no where. Did you find the point of impact changed from your point of aim with the different brands of slugs?

The Brenneke brand ones group was open more than the Rio brand but they shoot out of my Rem 870.
