Looking for more information on Churchill 206 Orcap II, Over/Under 12 Gauge Shotgun.

I cant seem to find much information about them. Super pretty gun, want it just for weekend clay busting but not sure how the pattern/how durable they are.

If anyone's googlefu is better then mine or has some insight please chime in!

Pulled the trigger, to fallow is the pictures and updates.

First, it comes in a very nice case! Hard shell with a felt outer lining. The inside is a cut out foam that comes pre cut to fit the shot gun, as well has cut outs for any additional you may wish to use. The shotgun its self is also inside of a nice soft case inside of the actual case. Really gives it a feel of "protect this fine piece!". It comes with a user manual, some targets and 5 chokes that are very well marked to determine what one you want and also the ability to see what ones are in the gun. Also a nice choke tool and case for it all.

Fit: When you put it together it is a little tight but nothing really to complain about, its not super slick and smooth and you have to put a little effort into opening and closing but nothing to turn your nose up at.

Finish: The finish is very well done, as you can see in the picture the wood lotto on this was very good. The engravings are clean and the case hardening super pretty. No dents dings or blemishes I spotted out at all.

It has a very nice red front sight, swivel slings if you wish to use them. The safety is very positive with a nice click so you can really tell when you are manipulating the barrel selector and the safety.
The stock feels very thick, but fits me very well and puts my eye in a good position naturally. Obviously try before you buy, this might not be the case with everyone.
There is a palm swell for RIGHT HANDED shooters, (that I am) so it fills my hand very well and feels good to hang onto.
Also a side note, I am a taller male. 6'2 1/2 inches. I would not recommend this to shorter individuals. The stock is long but fits me very well.

Shooting Update!

So I could not be more happy about this purchase. Honestly the action was a little stiff, nothing a little lube didn't sort out. Even the females (who don't shoot and are skinny girls) where able to open and operate it fine. It seems to shoot as good as it looks, everyone was up to throwing 2 clays at once and we would have done more if it was possible with that shotgun!

Im no professional shotgunner but I couldn't seem to miss, even if I tried! My buddies girlfriend even found it comical on "how easy I made it look" and that I "never miss". Her father is a out door gentleman and they shoot trap and skeet regularly. So she knows what is decent. I honestly felt like I couldn't miss either!

The shotgun fit really well in my body, even got into some trick shots and had no issues exploding clays. The shotgun was light and felt super easy to aim, the bright red front sight was awesome.
The mechanical trigger was good. The safety and barrel selection smooth and easy to work with a positive click that you have no doubts when it has moved.
The only thing I can say is that this thing HUCKS the empty shells... 7-8 ft behind you so... Watch your face!

Looking to hit the club and test it out against some real trap shooters. The farm is fun, but its not the "high pressure" feel that you can get when you are competing... Even if you arnt… You are... lol
Here are some pictures

They're called the Churchill Double Crown in England. That might help your search a little better as all the review videos on them are in the UK. They're one of the better Turkish over/under shotguns.

I have one, it is a great shooting shotgun. I have use it for several days at the trap range. It would be great for upland hunting as well. My only issue was when I first got it, the break action was tighter than your prom date. I actually had to put the stock between my legs to lever it closed. After some break in the action breaks open just fine. I was very impressed with the case that it came in and everything seemed to be classy and will work as a carrying case for the shotgun you will actually want to use. I am not sure about how it patterns as I haven't done that yet but will hit `10 to 18 clays with it depending on how well i'm shooting that day. People with multi thousand $ Blazers seem to do just as well as I am with the Orcap so i'd say it does the job well.

I was looking at several shotguns that day but when they opened the Orcap all I could think was WOW! so bought it on the spot. I am very happy with it. As for fit I am 5'10 with average to long arms and it fits quite well.

A common misconception in the world of shotgun shooting is that expensive guns bring higher scores!

Expensive and flashy shotguns, like expensive cars or watches, are a statement "Look at me, I have expensive tastes, money, and I like to show it."

At the very highest level of competition, the best equipment gives a perceived slender margin of advantage.

For most of us duffers, who love to shoot but don't kid ourselves about ability, one really nice gun is a small self indulgence. However, we have had our butts kicked by the old guy with an 870 or Model 12, who can really shoot.

Another common misconception is what makes a gun fit properly. Most people don't know what proper gun fit actually is. Not to be disrespectful to anyone, but several days at the trap range is not an appropriate sample size to judge of the quality or longevity of the gun. Nor is comparing a score of 10-18 to anyone shooting Blazers as the two are not related. I would suggest that an experienced shooter using a proper fitting gun should be able to hit more targets then 10-18. If not, I would dare to say the gun doesn't fit right.

On another note, I like my Churchill SxS. If my gun is indicative of all Churchill double guns, I would say that its one of the better made Turkish double guns

Awesome! Appreciate all the information guys! Im hoping it fits well and I can shoot with it. If not I really wont be upset, im ok with ogling it just as much as shooting.

It is a gift to myself for smashing through a few personal and professional goals.

There is a very particular reason why I want a Churchill shotgun hahaha

Your going to make us ask aren't you!

Here's one thing you may want to look into. Most European (and Japanese) made shotguns have a cast to the stock - either left or right. Most American guns have a neutral cast - thus making the gun somewhat universal. From my own experience in shooting clays, proper cast plays a significant role in shotgun fit, and perceived recoil. I wouldn't buy one of those Churchills for volume shooting if it didn't have a right hand cast....

Is it a personal reason like that my mind is blown that I own a SVT40 with the year I was born as the all matching serial number.....I smile every time I look at that rifle that magically showed up when I was looking on the EE on my birthday 3 years ago for a SVT40.....

I'm gonna put
1-3 odds on
- you or your immediate family member have the land name Churchill or Orcap or II (?)

They do. They even have a palm swell. That's why they're by far one of the best Turkish shotgun. They even make one for wrong handed shooters.

Sweet! That's some pretty fancy wood on that one!

So does it meet your expectations?

The pictures are from the wife who is at home.

So from the pictures yes! I am very pleased with the looks. I love the wood, I think I like it more then the dark wood that seems to be pictured everywhere. The color case harden seems a bit darker then I thought it would be but im ok with that.

I work away from home so wont be able to get my paws on it until the weekend.

The stock phot and the actual I received from the wife are very different though.

I had seen 2 in person before both had darker wood like the one pictured. Not sure whats going on with this one but I like it! Lol
