Anyone know the difference between the Turkish made Churchill SxS's?
"Gold" models are twice the price of the "Silver" models. Stock photos look the same.
Churchill 520 Gold vs Churchill 520 Silver, for example.

Would it not be up to the vendor to explain to you his price difference? If he passes the issue to the maker (because of a "dealer cost"), then maybe the maker needs to explain / justify the difference to you? Let us know what you find out!

I only guessing here but the difference could be single trigger vs double triggers ,ejectors vs extractors . And lets not forget cosmetics ie finish between the 2 models .

OK thanks, looks like Coach length barrels and fixed chokes on the Silver.
Some online retailers show full length barrels, stock Gold photos for the Silver.
I wonder if the Silver model has a cheaper matte finish on the barrels and a lesser wood/finish?

Hoping to hear from someone that actually knows the difference.
Both guns appear to have a single selective trigger and extractors.
I am not in communication with any dealer, sorry.

There are a few differences between the Gold and Silver.

The Golds always have a selective trigger while the Silver does not.

The Gold has higher quality walnut than the silver.

The stock dimensions are slightly different, likely because the Gold’s tend to be newer models. The Silver has a 1/4” more DAC and DAH then the Gold. The dimensions of the Gold are exactly as advertised on the website.

By the looks of the Akkar website, all new models are Golds unless you purchase one of short barrel coach guns.

The gauge doesn’t necessarily determine whether its a Gold or Silver, the features stated above determines what the model is. Most Silvers tend to be 12g or coach guns. This is likely because Silvers were manufactured before the Golds and they didn’t initially have all the sub gauges available at the time.

I’ve got 4 of these guns and sold a fifth one so I’ve been able to compare them side by side

My Silvers and Golds have the same gloss bluing. The only one that has the matte finish are the coach guns. Looks like the coach guns are the only Silvers being sold at the moment. Only the 12” coach gun has cylinder fixed chokes. My 20” coach gun is threaded for Rem-Chokes like the full size models

It seems like a huge price difference between the Silver and Gold models.
Approx $680 vs. $1150
That's a huge difference for what appears to be a very similar gun.

Yes, if you are comparing an old Silver vs a new Gold. If you are only looking at new guns, then the price difference is justified. Gloss blue barrels and quality walnut adds substantial costs. You will also get a gun case with a Gold where as the silver will come in just a box.

I should have mentioned in my previous post that the new Silver coach guns are not a finely finished as the new Golds. The new Silvers show more tooling marks than the old Silvers and Golds. I have two older Silvers that are finished just like a Gold and the only difference between the two are the selective trigger and stock dimensions.

Here is a review I did on my first Silver a handful of years ago

I have seen many Gold's but none that have wood that impress me. Haven't seen any Silver's in person but not sure how the wood could be much more plain than the Gold's?

I had a 512 Gold with stunning wood. The Churchill in post 41 of my review that I linked above appears to have real nice walnut as well. But I cant say I disagree with your statement

Here are my Silvers and coach gun. Pretty simple wood

Silver is a base model. Gold has added features and better fit and finish
Kinda like new trucks. You get the base fleet model work truck then for a few or more grand you get basically the same truck with power windows and locks and better synthetic material
