The only moding I did was dremel some aluminum inside the trigger pocket of the adapter. The Churchill trigger mechs housings are slightly larger, I also had to find the proper bolt and enlarge the hole for the bolt on the adapter. It's not a perfect fit with the receiver but it's good enough for a $200 shotgun. I was going to change the forend but the Churchill is a completely different design then 870 or 500

Looks good!

How's it run so far? Got many rounds down the barrel?

No rounds fired yet, only got the shotgun yesterday, from SFRC, amazing deal at $220 shipped. The fit and finish is excellent for the price.

I will add be careful how you load these shotguns. I had my middle finger bit twice by the feeding ramp, loading the gun upside and pushing down rounds with my middle finger. The only way I'm loading this shotgun is level and using my thumb to insert rounds into the mag tube.

Hmmm very interesting and nicely done. Which platform was your Mesa built for? I have one sitting in my parts bin that I pulled off a Mossberg 500 years ago and one of the shorty Churchill pumps with the raptor style grip laying around. Never thought of trying this.

Just for those asking the function has been extremely reliable, 500 plus rounds through mine. It's my main I dont care what happens to it, toss it in the trunk gun, hiking gun. Not the smoothest action but for under $260 very acceptable and it goes bang everytime.

The Mesa adapter is for a Remington 870, I have the Mossberg adapter too and no way will it fit on the Churchill.

This seems to create a long distance between grip and trigger. I've used 870 stock adapters on Turkish guns as well and they're not very comfortable for the same reason.

The collapsible stock for Canuck shotguns fits the Churchill as well. Only $50, got mine from Bullseye. Would post a pic if I knew how. Although then you would see my ghetto cheek pad made from pipe insulation.

I already had the Mesa Tect 870 adapter and the stock and grip were extras I had laying around.

You got a good deal and it looks great after your mods. Thinking of this or a dominion arms grizzly. If I could have got the old price with the additional 16% off it would be a no brainer. Still a hard choice now

I got my 12" Churchill for $240 at Tenda and agree they appear to be well made (Time will tell). Fit/finish is better then the Norcs IMO.....
