If I needs a bit of tweaking it seems like your capable of toolin on it and preventing some minor issues from making it useless. Some other nut was laffin at me for owning drums after I posted pics of a couple of mine so I was just being sarcastic with the useless comment sorry for the confusion lol

Mine does not fit, will have to do your mod. Now I got to buy a dremmel!

Edit: just used a file and went little by little. Fits nicely now, very snug. Thanks for the photo, it helped.

Good! Glad that helped you out.

I don't know if this is the same issue for every Type81 that doesn't fit these so anyone else looking to mod theirs should proceed with caution and make sure this is actually the fix for your non fitting mag.

Mine arrived today. Fit my T81's but really tight. About 30 seconds with a file in the spot jbmauser showed and it fits perfect now.
Just gotta get out and test it now!

Just ordered one, my Type 81 should be here in the Spring on 2nd shipment. I have been staring at the picture the other guy posted and knew I would kick myself if I didn't buy one. It just looks so ###y lol.

It does not work in a M-305b. Unfortunately the mag well is too deep for the drum to engage. By a lot. I should have got some measurements but was on the road and had to have it. I guess I could buy a T-81 now. Well alrighty then.

Yup.. I bought the 5 pac AK mags Then I finally bought the M-305.
Easier to justify buying the gun by doing it backwards

Maybe the other importer should of just got their heads on straight and brought in the OEM ones that will actually work instead instead of us always having to deal with aftermarket garbage
