I recently bought my first CIL Anschutz . It's a model 180 which currently wears a peep sight . Took out first time today and am considering mounting a scope on it . Just wondering as to whether or not I will have to put taller scope mounts on to clear the large front sight . And with all the current model .22 LR specific rim fire scopes available , what models are the most used for this gun . Don't really want to spend more than $250 CDN as I also have to re-scope my Marlin 25 MN .22 mag . It currently has a older 4x , which seems to be lacking when it comes to seeing the bulls eye at 50 yards (fine cross hairs cover the bull ) . The CIL will be used for squirrel hunting and plinking at 50 yards . Maybe a Nikon P Rim fire or is that much scope necessary in the bush ? Not really interested in fixed powers or parallax adjustments .
