Cil 300??

Hey i just picked up this CIL 300, I don't really know too much about them, are they any good, anything that I can do to it thats worth mentioning???

Well it seems to go by 2 names when i was looking it up, its also called a Anschtuz 520?? weird!

I have a cil 190(i think its a 190) one of the best .22lr's I have shot. Not much else to say but enjoy it.

C.I.L. model 300 is semi.automatic 22 caliber rifle made by Anschutz, a German firearms manufacturer of high Quality firearms. This is a model was imported stamped with both the names of C.I.L.(canadian industres limited and anschtuz. Anschtuz also sold it them selves calling it the modlel 520. It Takes down into two parts Making it a good back pack gun. It is accurate and durable. As with most seni-autos the action must be kept clean and lightly oiled.

Yes, usually any Anschutz (if it is not beaten to death) is good at least, and more often it is just excellent.

I own 2 CIL Model 470's which are quite similar.

These guns do have a nice feel to them but are on the lower end of what Anschutz has put out as far as quality is concerned.

any idea on hoy to find out the MFG date?

Check the left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver ring for what looks like an oak leaf and a two digit number - ie. 1965 would appear as 65 or '65. Kayceel
