Hey CGN's

Do any of you guys know where I could get a replacement stock for a CIL 402. It is a single shot 12ga. and basicily the same gun as the Remington 812, mad by CBC in Brazil. The the original stock was broken by one of my brothers.

I am post a WTB on the EE and see what comes up.

They appear to be difficult to find, and a second thought I have is could I get another stock modified to fit this particular gun.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Give Epps a call in Ontario. Or try Western Gun Parts in Alberta. Search Google for their contact info. Also, call any of the old gunsmiths who have been in business during the 1960's and 70's. The Remington was a popular shotgun for many first time hunters, and they made it in all gauges. The CIL basically followed the Rem pattern. The stock will be about half the value or more than the gun. It's because there are not many around to buy, so be ready for a shock, but it's worth the price to fix up something you like and enjoy.

It is the butt stock that is broken. It is split along the grain, and in 2 pieces. I also will need to get the butt stock bolt to hold it onto the reciever.

I'm located in southwestern ontario, I'll have to try Epps. I have done some looking online, and only found one place, but were out of replacement stocks.

Thanks for all your input guys.
