CIL 850 'Stock Options'

I have a CIL 850 and am looking for stock alternatives....I know they are of the savage rifle variety, I have tried my 12FV stock and it fits like a glove but the 'screw well ' ahead of the magazine is off by about 1/4 " . Would a stock for a 3 'digit' series savage fit ???????
 
I thought it was neither a long or a short but an intermediate action...It fits the 12FV stock fine but the one screw well is just a tad off

I know that 950T is a J action, which is a true medium.
Is yours a single shot?
Can you measure the distance betwenn the srews with a vernier, and I will check my 950, and my 112BT if you like....

I suspect that your rifle has the old shorter action. IIRC mine started as a Savage 112J. I doubt if there is a great variety of stocks available for this long out of production variant. No doubt other stocks can be adapted.
 
PM Mudpuppy, he had pics up a while ago of a 340 Savage he had installed into a model 12 short action stock if I remember right. The other issue with the 340's is the single action screw, Mudpuppy had a way around that as well.
