Anschutz Biathlon rifles used a 54 action and had a very light weight stock with rail, mag storage, adjustable pad.....I have one of these. The 64 including the CIL180/190 were set up for target rifles and had the Anchutz style stock with rail and butt plate...have one of these as well.
If you want Biathlon on a 64 action it would have to be custom....don't know if it qualify for competition.
No competition, I am just looking for a way to replace a sporter style stock with a more target oriented one. It doesn't have to be made by Anschutz, any quality aftermarket one will do.
I got a CIL 190 from an uncle, and its a right hand action in a left hand stock. im right handed and thedutchess is a lefty, so until I can find a second stock for myself, she gets to shoot it.
I am thinking I may buy a Boyd's Blaster stock that is not inletted and do the inletting myself. I am not excited about that, but I have done a semi-inletted stock before (very SEMI-inletted), so a full inletting job wouldn't be much harder.
I suggest you keep your eyes open for a used Anschutz 64 Match or CIL 190 stock. These are very nice match style stocks and many Anschutz/CIL sporters based on the 64 action are a straight drop-in. Or just buy a used Anschutz 64/CIL 190. There are lots of them around!
